Holiday update

It's the holidays, and Jamie and I are trying to keep up without slipping on the icy snow. Our Ornament tree is up, evergreen wreaths on the doors, cards just got mailed out, and plane tix to SoCal and Oakland have been bought. We can't wait to get to Cali but there's a lot to be done before then including two show strikes at my work.

I entered the YSD holiday bake-off yesterday and Won! I won the bonus award of Best Holiday Flavor for Candy Cane cookies, a time intensive recipie that I found on Food Network website. Very yummy cookies with vanilla and peppermint flavor and a dusting of peppermint candy.

Next on the social calendar is the TD&P dinner (served by the 1st year grad students and interns in the tech program) and the All-School Holiday party tonight, and an afternoon party in the costume shop tomorrow. Then it's a show strike on Thursday, maintenance on Friday, and an overnight strike on Saturday night. I'll only get a few hours of sleep before getting on the plane on Sunday (Yikes).
