Random stuff this week
Cat: Playing with catnip bag
Weather: Bay Area Rain at 50 degrees turned into Snow at 12 degrees, now Sunny
So I get to work today, the MLK Jr. Holiday, and will get both holiday pay and pay for my hours worked. (YAY!)
Jamie and I went to the mall yesterday for a few things. This was our first time really driving in snow in New Haven and it was kinda scary, especially when you have to pump the brakes everytime you slow down, and once we felt the rear of the car slide sideways as we came to a slow stop. That was during driving on the city streets, once we got on the freeway, we were fine.
I've been working way too much on a student show. They are only allowed to use me for a certain amount of time since my priority is supposed to be the Yale Rep shows. But since this student show had some major redesigns, I got to work extra hours with them to accomodate the changes. But now the changes in lighting won't stop. So after today, I won't be working with that show until the strike on Sunday. I feel kinda bad for them but I could see this coming.
My favorite show right now is Project Runway II on Bravo, the fashion designer reality show with Heidi Klum. One of my favorite designers on the current show just got sent home, Diana Eng, an Asian nerdy fashion designer. I found her blog here: http://home.comcast.net/%7Epopulartransit/poptrans/newframeset.htm. It's been fun to watch her 'cause she reminds me of me, with the social akwardness, crazy ideas, and spunky spirit.
I am proud of myself for what I got done during this one day weekend. I got a few more pages done in a scrapbook I'm doing for a friend, unplugged the toilet, verified my new iHome (alarm clock for iPod) worked, got some sexy jeans and shoes at the mall, and verified that we have access to regular cable so we can return the digital cable box and save $10 a month.
Now back to work thru Friday, have Saturday off, then work Sunday to Friday next week with start of prep for Brundibar.
No rest for the wicked!
