Christmas vacation
Thanks to all the folks we visited with last month: Gerald & Frank, Geese, Jen & Ray, Kathleen McP, Judy, Forrest & Hayward, Rob, Fred & Kathleen, York, and Gramma Claire & Barbara. Those of you we missed - we hope to catch you next time. Those of you who didn't respond to my emails or phone calls: Do I have current contact info for you? Are we still friends?

Our Christmas vacation took us thru 4 states, if you count layovers. From Harford, CT, we flew to Atlanta, GA to pick up a flight to Long Beach, CA for our visit behind the Orange Curtain with Jamie's family and niece and nephews. Two days after Christmas Jamie's mom took us to Lost Wages for 27 hours of fun including Cirque's Beatles Love show, a little nightclub hopping, a visit to the Bellagio's Fine Art Museum's exhibit of Picasso's ceramics, and lots of good food. The next day was a flight to Oakland for 4 days of visiting more friends and family, walking the Golden Gate Bridge with mom and hubby, and collecting a few things from storage. New Year's Eve was a cozy low key affair spent learning to play poker and watching lots of Twilight Zone and Howl's Moving Castle with dear friends. We flew back thru Chicago, IL to Hartford, CT and drove straight to the kennel to pick up Sheba, then crashed at home before going to work the next day.
