Brundibar marches in

Weather: Sun today, rain tomorrow
Brundibar status: mostly ready to start hang

It's been a frantic prep time this week with 4 versions of the Brundibar plot coming thru. Granted, each version only had minor changes but it did alter the rental package and our plans each time. This is the biggest show I've had major involvement in and my Student Master Electrician is heavily dependant on me to help make this plot a reality. I'm still pretty nervous about it all. From today, we have 28 days until Opening Night. We start hang at 8am on Monday, with a meet and greet on stage at 4pm, which I have to provide some lighting for, including seeing 30 kids on stage doing a song from Brundibar. The rental comes in next Monday, with moving lights, rotators, strobe lights, more dimmers and color scrollers; all the theater technician's headaches. Focus will be a 10 hour affair on Sun 2/5. Then we're in tech, adapting this show from a much bigger theater into the University Theater space.
We already know our back stage space left and right will only be 3 feet wide each. And all the set pieces, including the bridge, from the first piece "Comedy" will have to exit the stage by going up center into the scene show, crossing thru two ground rows.
And there'll be more challenges as we go.

This is gonna be a long month.
