Easter in Vermont

Vermont trip - The Highlights:

- Ben & Jerry's factory tour: flavor of the day: Banana Rum. Yum

- Simon Pierce Glass: How many hauty-toity dressed people can you fit in a restaurant today? Pretty glass though.
And a covered bridge and hydroelectric power.

- Easter Sunday Sunrise service at the top of the Gondola at Mt. Mansfield: Hey, we weren't prepped for snow!

- Easter Sunday Catholic Mass: Church in a log cabin with painted windows, charcoal drawings on the ceiling, and woodburned drawings on the outside. ooo-k.

- The Von Trapp Family Lodge - Yes, the actual Von Trapp family from "Sound of Music" built and run this place. Tons of pictures of the family line the walls.

- Cabot Cheese Co-op Factory Tour and tasting: So many chedders, so little time.
- Magic Hat Brewery: How many ales have I tasted? I'm drunk already. (10 for the record. or 2 beers in 40 minutes) And it's run by a hippie!
- Vermont Teddy Bear Factory: Button Bears-cute but fuzzy. Teddy Bear eyes that say "Made in Vermont"-a little creepy
- Breakfast at the B&B: So big and good ya don't need another meal for 8 hours!
- Marsala Salsa Restaurant: A mix of Mexican, Indian, and a bit of Trinidad all mixed up. My tongue got lost en route.
- The Alchemist Bar - Made me miss microbrew bars all the more.

We did Vermont but good and had fun!. Now the only other reason to go is leaf-peeping in September - and we know some of the routes now.
