Holidaze

Now that it's after Thanksgiving - we can finally celebrate the Holidays! Jamie and I went out to Dzen Tree Farm in CT to personally select and cut down our own real live Christmas Tree! It's the first live tree we've had in years, and boy does the house smell great!
Now I'm on the couch, with a cup of hot chocolate, Duran Duran Live in London DVD playing, Sheba's in her window seat, I'm sitting in the glow of the christmas tree lights. It's so idillic (ok so Duran Duran as holiday decorating background is not usual, but who said I was usual?). The Duran Duran concert I'm watching is mostly the same concert Jamie and I saw in Sacramento, CA in March 2005, before Yale or East Coast living was in the picture.
In preparation for the annual hand-created Christmas Card and Holiday letter, I've been listing all the things that Jamie and I have been doing this year, and I'm amazed by it. Even in 1 year, we've done so much, and yet there's still so much we can do! I've started to ponder working in NY. I could probably do it if I leaned on my new contacts some, but I'm nervous about it. The Yale Alumni Christmas party is happening soon and I'm thinking of attending and hoping for some successful networking. Wish me luck!

Hmm. Linda? Before you write something scathing about me here I guess I should tell you that a little birdie- er, make that just "little bird"- pointed me to your blog. I mean, if you are going to write something scathing, you should know I'm going to read it! (It's more fun that way.)
I was digging reading your blog until I started thinking, "Migod- is this creepy? I mean, normal people would just have a conversation..."
But we're not _normal_, are we? Not one of us in this little madhouse.
Anyway, thanks for something to read while I'm ushering.
