Happy Easter Everyone!
Here we are in our Easter best.
Jamie and his new haircut!
Me looking out the window. My hair just keeps growing.
We start the day with breakfast at a popular New Haven place called "The Pantry". Jamie has a bowl of granola, walnuts, and raisins with some yogurt on the bottom. I have a stack of blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup and we share a rasher of bacon. Yummy!
Then we go to mass at St. Mary's Church, the oldest Catholic church in the area. The church building itself was built in the 1870's and is in the Gothic style with lots of big stained glass windows, gold gilt interior, and a 2,500+ pipe organ. Mass was very traditional and included 5 teenage altar boys, lots of church music by Mozart, lots of real incense, and the usual stand, sit, kneel, repeat. Church was filled with a diverse group of people but it wasn't crowded.

Since it was such a pretty spring day, we decide to go to Hammonasset Beach on the Connecticut coastline. Here I'm getting my feet wet in the Atlantic Ocean. BRRR!
We go hiking along the beach and along the sand dunes and enjoy the sun.
We close the day with dinner and a margarita at TGIFriday's and with phone calls home to talk with family.
Nighty Night.
