Edward II - the Bollywood Gay Disco version

That's the Verse Project (VP) I'm working on now. VP's serve a couple of purposes for Drama School students: it gives the actors time with classical material, gives 1st year directors and stage managers their first drama school show, and forces everyone to work with a minimal budget on a show that's supposed to be focused on the acting.
The VP's have gotten more complicated technically in recent times even with the limited budget and time. Pictured below is the neon-covered rear wall of a set that never really should have been approved because of the sheer amount of hours it took to get it up. But it looks AWESOME!

The X pattern is hidden with all the other neon when it's off (44 sticks of neon total). We've written a few chase sequences with it.

Oh, and the Bollywood part comes from some undergrad girls doing dances during some key moments, and the Disco part is the bright colors and the "Disco Crown" that comes in from above. And Gay 'cause King Edward has his loves, in both sexes, and must really love his male partner for as much abuse as he gets. If we ever get thru tech (tonights the last night) it'll be a good show.
