Still having fun.

At the beginning of every school year, my production manager, Ben Sammler, hosts "Mandatory Fun", a day full of competitive games pitting the students, alumni, and staff against each other, and thus bringing them closer together. Usually it's held at Sammler's place, which has a large backyard for volleyball, croquet, horseshoes, and badminton. This year was the first year ever in close to 40 years that it was rained out and activities were moved indoors into the black box theater. Activities this year were Trivial Pursuit, Euchere, dominos, darts, cornhole, and pool.
Being moved indoors was a relief for me, as I wasn't looking forward to sitting outside in the humidity all afternoon, being fustrated that the only game I could play was croquet. While comforted by air conditioning, Jamie and I played several rounds of Trivial Pursuit (including a Star Wars edition!), chatted with other parents of young ones, met new folks, and I did get to play several round of pool. (See video)

I look pretty big in the video and I have the swollen ankles and feet, but I don't feel unwieldy, and the swollen legs don't hurt. I still have a pretty high energy level, and I'm still going to work all this week, where I'll mostly be programming light cues for Steve Strawbridge for the first Yale Rep show "Passion Play" by Sarah Ruhl.
I'm also crafting a few item for a Baby craft swap on Craftster, pulling together a few more baby care items, and finding time to cuddle with my Jamie before 2 becomes 3.
